English for Au-Pairs/General English Classes

  • We do general English with a focus on preparation for the Cambridge English Exams – FCE and CAE
  • We offer English classes in the mornings and evenings.
  • Students are assessed to see which group they can go into.
  • Classes are small – max 8 students
  • Classes are held in both Wicklow and Greystones.
  • The Wicklow Classes are held in my home on the Dunbur Road, which ensures a very friendly and relaxed environment.
  • In Greystones, we are in the Kilian Family Centre on La Touche Road which is right beside the train station.

Cambridge Exams Preparation – We offer preparation for 2 of the exams

FCE – First Certificate in English. (Upper-intermediate level, CEFR B2, ALTE Level 3) FCE is aimed at upper-intermediate level students, who can use every day written and spoken English. It is an ideal exam for people who wish to use English for work or study purposes.

CAE – Cambridge Advanced Examination. (Advanced, CEFR C1, ALTE Level 4) CAE is an exam for advanced users of English. It is aimed at people who can use written and spoken English for most professional and social purposes. It is widely recognised for work or study purposes.

Note: Students will receive an assessment test before commencement of classes, so it can be decided on which group they need to go into.
